Sky High – Florida’s about to get its first ‘supertall’ high-rise.

When completed next year, the 100-story Waldorf Astoria Residences on Biscayne Boulevard in Miami will be Florida’s tallest building and the tallest residential tower south of New York. It will have 360 condos ranging in price from $3.5 million to $50 million and 205 hotel rooms and suites. At a height of 1,049 feet – nearly 320 meters – the tower will be the first in Florida to surpass the 300-meter mark that defines a “supertall.”
